The Very Best Banana Pudding Ever

I stole this recipe for The Very Best Banana Pudding Ever from thedomesticrebel.com. This delicious dessert is prepared and refrigerated several hours before serving. Start with whipping together whipping cream, confectioner’s sugar and vanilla. Then whip cream cheese with sweetened condensed milk, dry banana pudding mix and milk until smooth. Add part of the whipped cream mixture to the pudding mixture. Place Nilla wafers in the bottom of a baking dish and top each wafer with a banana slice. Then add some of the pudding mixture. Repeat with more wafers, banana slices and pudding mixture. Then add the remaining whipped cream to the top. This tasty dessert can be served anytime of the year, because you can always find bananas at the grocery store, with or without the Dad jokes.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 2 ½ cups heavy whipping cream, ¾ cup confectioner’s sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 8 oz (1 pkg) cream cheese, 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk. 5 oz (large box) instant banana pudding mix (dry powder only-don’t make), 1 cup 2% or whole milk, 11 oz (1 box) Nilla wafers and 8 medium bananas

Lightly grease 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray, set aside. In a bowl add heavy whipping cream, confectioner’s sugar and vanilla. Whip until stiff peaks form, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from bowl and set aside.

Then in a separate bowl, add the cream cheese whip until fluffy, 30 seconds. Add in sweetened condensed milk and beat until smooth and no lumps remaining, stopping and scrapping as needed.

Next add the dry pudding mix and mix well, then slowly stream in the milk and mix until combined.

Add in ⅔ of the whipped cream to the pudding mix and fold it in gently until fully combined. Set aside.

In prepared pan, place an even layer of Nilla wafers and top with an even layer of banana coins.

Top with half of the pudding mixture and spread evenly.

Repeat with another layer of Nilla wafers, followed by another layer of banana coins and the remaining pudding layer, spreading evenly. Top with ⅓ remaining whipped cream. Cover and refrigerate at least 8 hours. Just before serving, crush any remaining Nilla wafers and sprinkle over top with additional banana coins.

Slice and enjoy the banana goodness!
