Grilled Huli Huli Pork Chops

I stole this recipe for Grilled Huli Huli Pork Chops from plainchicken.com. This recipe for grilled pork chops is easy to make. First brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, chicken broth, dried ginger and minced garlic are stirred together in a bowl. Half of the mixture is poured into a separate bowl and refrigerated. Then the pork chops are marinated in the other half. After marinating for several hours the pork chops are grilled while being basted with the reserved sauce. This tasty grilling recipe is easy to make without having to go wild.

The ingredients for this recipe are: ½ cup packed brown sugar, 6 tbsp ketchup, 6 tbsp soy sauce, 2 ½ tbsp chicken broth, ½ tsp dried ginger, 1 ½ tsp minced garlic and 6 to 8 (2 ½ lbs) pork chops

Then in a small bowl, mix the first six ingredients. Reserve ½ cup for basting; cover and refrigerate.

Pour marinade over pork chops and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Remove pork chops from marinade and place on the grill.

Baste pork chops with reserved marinade during grilling.

Grill for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, until the pork reaches 145 F internal temperature.

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the first six ingredients. Reserve ½ cup for basting; cover and refrigerate.
  2. Pour marinade over pork chops and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
  3. Remove pork chops from marinade and grill until done, approximately 8 to 10 minutes, until the pork reaches 145 F internal temperature.
  4. Baste pork chops with reserved marinade during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Recipe Notes

Baking Instructions: Sear in skillet for 2 to 3 minutes. Then bake in 400 F oven for 10 minutes.
