Valentine’s Day Breakfast Waffles

I stole this recipe for Valentine’s Day Breakfast Waffles from breepair.com. Adding red food coloring to waffle is an easy way to make a Valentine’s Day breakfast. First flour, sugar, baking powder and salt are added to a bowl. Then eggs and milk are mixed together with melted butter and vanilla and added to the dry ingredients. Everything is mixed together before adding food coloring to get the desired color. The batter is cooked in a hot waffle and served warm. Don’t forget the whipped cream, fruit and sprinkles to make these waffles more festive!

The ingredients for this recipe are: 2 cups flour, 4 tbsp sugar, 4 tsp baking powder, ½ tsp salt, 2 eggs, 1 ½ cups milk, 6 tbsp melted butter, 1 tsp vanilla, pink / red food coloring, sprinkles and whipped cream

Preheat waffle iron. Combine dry ingredients and then make a well in the center.

Whisk eggs into milk. Then add with other wet ingredients into the well.

Whisk together, batter will be lumpy.

Then pour ½ cup batter per waffle into the waffle maker.

Cook 2 minutes, turn waffle iron and cook 2 minutes more.

Serve with sprinkles, whipped cream and fruit. (The recipe I use for the waffle batter is Fluffy waffle recipe.)
