Brownie Batter Waffles

I stole this recipe for Brownie Batter Waffles from bettycrocker.com who stole it from Angie McGowan of ElecticRecipes.com. This twist on traditional waffles is made with brownie mix. Boxed brownie mix is mixed with eggs and vegetable oil. Then the batter is poured into a preheated waffles maker. After baking these tasty waffles are ready to serve with ice cream or your favorite topping. Using boxed brownie mix, makes this recipe a quick and easy dessert anytime you want a brownie. This recipe is another delicious way to make brownies, no matter why you made them.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 1 box (1 lb 3.8 oz) Betty Crocker Supreme Walnut Brownie Mix (can substitute plain brownie mix), 3 eggs, ¼ cup vegetable oil, hot fudge and ice cream

In a large bowl, stir together the brownie mix, eggs and oil with whisk just until smooth.

Then heat the waffle maker. Spray with non-stick spray. Pour slightly less than ¾ cup batter (or manufacturer’s suggestion) into the mold.

Next gently spread the batter to fill the mold.

Close lid. Bake 5 minutes until no longer steaming (or manufacturer’s suggestion). Follow any instructions on the waffle maker, turning if needed, etc.

Carefully remove the waffle using tongs. Then repeat with remaining batter. Spray the waffle maker each time with non-stick spray.

Serve as a whole brownie waffle or in pieces.

Serve with whipped cream, fudge, strawberries or ice cream. I recommend serving these brownie batter waffles with The Best Ice Cream You’ll Ever Make a delicious vanilla ice cream recipe.
