Snickerdoodle Bars

I stole this recipe for Snickerdoodle Bars from tastesbetterfromscratch.com. These delicious bar cookies are quick and easy to make. First butter, shortening and sugar are creamed together. Then eggs and vanilla are mixed in with flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. The dough is pressed into a baking dish. Next a mixture of cinnamon and sugar is sprinkled on top before baking. Once cooled, the bars are cut before serving. These snickerdoodle bars are a delicious way to end a meal.

“Every meal should end with something sweet. Maybe it’s jelly on toast at breakfast, or a small piece of chocolate at dinner – but it always helps my brain bring a close to the meal.” – Robert Irvine (see more quotes in the Quotes tab)
