Crispy Air Fryer Shrimp

I stole this recipe for Crispy Air Fryer Shrimp from spendwithpennies.com. Using an air fryer makes this shrimp crunchy, but not greasy. Flour and seasonings are combined in a bowl. Then in a separate bowl, seasoned and Panko bread crumbs are combined. A beaten egg is placed in a small bowl. To assemble the shrimp, dip in flour, then in the egg and next in the bread crumb mixture. After all the shrimp are breaded, place the shrimp in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook flipping twice. The finished shrimp is so crispy and delicious you won’t miss the deep fryer!

The ingredients for this recipe are: ¼ cup flour, 1 ½ tsp Old Bay seafood seasoning, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp salt, ⅓ cup seasoned bread crumbs, ⅓ cup Panko bread crumbs, 2 large eggs, ¾ lb large shrimp with tails and cooking spray

Start with combining flour and half of the seasoning in a bowl.

Then in a separate bowl, combine bread crumbs and remaining seasoning. Place beaten egg in small bowl.

Preheat air fryer to 400 F for 5 minutes. Toss peeled and deveined shrimp in flour mixture.

Then dip in egg and then in bread crumb mixture. Repeat with remaining shrimp.

Next add a single layer of shrimp to air fryer basket. Cook 4 minutes.

Flip shrimp, spray with cooking spray. Cook an additional 4 minutes or until just cooked through and crispy.

Repeat with remaining shrimp.

Recipe Notes

Smaller shrimp may need a minute less cooking time. To reheat, place on baking sheet in 350 F oven for up to 10 minutes or until crispy.
