Grilled Pork Chops

I stole this recipe for Grilled Pork Chops from dinneratthezoo.com. The marinade adds all the flavor to these pork chops. Olive oil, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon zest, parsley, thyme, salt, pepper and garlic are mixed together in a bowl. Then pork chops are marinated in the refrigerator for a few hours. Next the pork chops are grilled until done. These pork chops are ready to serve and are perfect for your first cookout of the season. This recipe also doubles easily for a crowd at your Memorial Day BBQ!

The ingredients for this recipe are: 4 pork chops, ¼ cup olive oil, 1 ½ tbsp brown sugar, 2 tsp Dijon mustard, 1 ½ tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp lemon zest, 2 tsp parsley, 2 tsp thyme leaves, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper and 1 tsp minced garlic

In a medium sized bowl, add together the olive oil, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon zest, parsley, thyme, salt, pepper and garlic.

Then whisk well to combine.

Pour the marinade over the meat in a sealable plastic bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours. Preheat grill to medium heat. Place the pork chop on the preheated grill.

Cook the pork chops for 6 to 8 minutes per side. Or until a thermometer inserted into thickest part of the chop registers 145 F.

Let the meat rest for 5 minutes, then serve.

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 2 tsp thyme leaves
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  1. Place the pork chops in a bowl or resealable gallon bag.
  2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the olive oil, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, lemon zest, parsley, thyme, salt, pepper and garlic.
  3. Pour the marinade over the meat. Marinate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.
  4. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  5. Place the pork on the grill. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until a thermometer inserted into thickest part of the chop registers 145 F.
  6. Let the meat rest for 5 minutes, then serve. Garnish with additional chopped parsley if desired.
