Sesame Noodles

I stole this recipe for Sesame Noodles from dinneratthezoo.com. This side dish is perfect for any Chinese meal. A sauce is made with soy sauce, rice vinegar, peanut butter, sesame oil, ginger, chili garlic sauce and brown sugar. Then cooked stir fry noodles are tossed with the sauce. Next the noodles are tossed with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 10 oz fresh egg noodles, ¼ cup soy sauce, 3 tbsp rice vinegar, 2 tbsp peanut butter, 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil, 1 tsp minced ginger, 1 ½ tsp chili garlic sauce, 1 tsp brown sugar, ½ cup green onion and 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Place the soy sauce, rice vinegar, peanut butter, sesame oil, ginger, chili garlic sauce and brown sugar in a medium bowl.

Then whisk the sauce until smooth.

Prepare noodles according to package directions.

Pour the sauce over the noodles and toss to coat. Then add in the green onions and sesame seeds.

Toss to coat the noodles with the sauce.

Serve, garnished with additional green onions and sesame seeds.

Instructions

  1. Prepare noodles according to package directions.
  2. Place the soy sauce, rice vinegar, peanut butter, sesame oil, ginger, chili garlic sauce and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Drain the noodles and rinse with cold water. Pour the sauce over the noodles and toss to coat.
  4. Stir in the green onions and sesame seeds. Serve, garnished with additional green onions and sesame seeds.
