Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic and Herbs

Butter and olive oil are cooked in skillet with garlic. Then halved cherry tomatoes are added to the skillet and sautéed. Next cooked and drained angel hair pasta is added with herbs and Parmesan cheese. Everything is tossed together and ready to serve. Angel hair pasta is perfect for this recipe.

Place 2 tbsp butter and 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

After the butter has melted, stir in 2 tsp minced garlic and cook for 30 to 60 seconds, stirring constantly.

Cook 8 oz angel hair pasta in salted water according to package directions.

Then add ½ cup halved cherry tomatoes with seasonings to the skillet.

Cook the tomatoes until they are softened.

Drain the pasta and add it to the pan with ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese to the pan, along with the salt and pepper.

Then toss everything together to coat the pasta.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz angel hair pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp garlic
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh herbs parsley, chives, dill and/or basil
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • Additional herbs to garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions.
  2. Place the butter and olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  3. After the butter has melted, stir in the garlic and cook for 30 to 60 seconds, stirring constantly.
  4. Drain the pasta and add it to the pan. Add the herbs and Parmesan cheese to the pan, along with the salt and pepper, then toss to coat the pasta.

  5. Top with tomatoes. Sprinkle with additional herbs for garnish if desired, then serve.
