Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie

I stole this recipe for Chocolate Cream Cheese Pie from Tasteofhome.com who stole it from Rhonda Hogan from Eugene, Oregon (originally published in Country Woman Jan/Feb 1997 issue). This chocolate cream cheese pie requires no baking, just chilling in the fridge. Cream cheese is mixed with sugar and milk until smooth. Then whipped topping is folded in, and then the mixture is spread into a graham cracker crust. Chocolate pudding mix is whisked with milk and left to sit until starting the set. The pudding is spread over the cream cheese mixture. Next the pie chills until set in the fridge, additional whipped topping can be served on top. A delicious pie that you’ll want more than one piece, maybe the whole pie!

In a small bowl, beat 3 oz softened cream cheese, 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp milk until smooth.

I add ½ tsp vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture.

Fold in 1 cup whipped topping.

Spread evenly into a graham cracker pie crust (9 inches).

In another small bowl, whisk 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix and 1 ¾ cup milk for 2 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes or until soft-set.

Spread pudding over cream cheese mixture.

Chill until set. Just before serving, garnish with additional whipped topping and chocolate chips.

Slice and enjoy!
