Easter Dirt Cake

I stole this recipe for Easter Dirt Cake from savorysplash.com. This delicious Easter dessert is quick to make and can be made ahead of time. Softened cream cheese and butter are mixed together before adding powdered sugar. In a separate bowl instant vanilla pudding mix and cold mix are mixed together. Then the pudding mix is folded into the cream cheese mixture. Cool Whip is gently stirred into the mixture. Crushed Oreos are spread into the bottom of a baking dish. The pudding mixture is spread on top before adding more crushed Oreos and sprinkling with crushed M&M’s. The dish is refrigerated several hours before serving. This delicious cake is easy to find in the fridge.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 1 package (14 oz) Oreo cookies, 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, ¼ cup butter, 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix, 2 cups cold milk, 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), 1 cup pastel-colored candy coated chocolate (M&M’s) and ½ cup mini Oreo cookies for topping

In a 9×13-inch dish, add half of the crushed Oreos.

Use the back of a spoon to spread the oreos to cover the bottom of the pan.

In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth.

Then add powdered sugar and mix until fully combined.

Beat until combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.

Fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture.

Gently stir in Cool Whip until the filling is light and fluffy.

Pour the creamy pudding mixture over the Oreos.

Spread the pudding mixture out evenly.

Top with the remaining crushed Oreos.

Sprinkle with crushed spring colored M&M’s. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (overnight is even better!). Slice, serve, and enjoy the Easter magic.
