BBQ Sloppy Joes

I stole this recipe for BBQ Sloppy Joes from a cookbook called Six Sisters’ Stuff: 30 Minute Meals. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a weeknight meal. Ground beef is browned in a skillet. Then chopped onion and green pepper are added to the meat. Once the vegetables are soft, BBQ sauce is added to the skillet. Next the sloppy joe mixture is seasoned with salt and pepper and served on hamburger buns. Ground turkey can be used instead of ground beef, no mystery meat needed.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey, ½ cup diced onion, 1 green pepper, 1 cup BBQ sauce (Sweet Baby Ray’s), salt, pepper and 6 hamburger buns

Add the beef, onion and pepper to a skillet.

Cook until beef is cooked and vegetables are tender. Then add the BBQ sauce to the meat mixture.

Stir and continue cooking until the BBQ sauce is warmed.

Then serve warm on hamburger buns.
