I stole this recipe for Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin from spendwithpennies.com. This delicious pork tenderloin is a perfect winter recipe. First a sauce is made with soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, vegetable oil, garlic, ginger and sesame oil. Half of the sauce is used to marinade pork tenderloins. Then the pork tenderloin is baked in the oven. While the pork is cooking the second half of the sauce is thickened on the stove top with cornstarch and water. The baked pork is sliced and drizzled with the sauce for serving. This tasty recipe is easy to make and doesn’t need a smoker for deep flavor.
The ingredients for this recipe are: 2 lbs pork tenderloin, ⅔ cup soy sauce, ⅔ cup orange juice or pineapple juice, 6 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 4 cloves garlic, 2 tsp fresh ginger, 1 tsp sesame oil, 8 tbsp water and 2 tbsp cornstarch
Combine soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, vegetable oil, garlic, ginger and sesame oil in a bowl.
Reserve half of the sauce. Then pour the remaining half over the pork in resealable plastic bag. Marinate pork for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours. Remove tenderloin from the marinade and then discard the marinade. Place on a foil lined baking sheet.
Then cook tenderloin at 450 F for 17 to 20 minutes or until a thermometer reads an internal temperature of 145 F. While the pork is cooking, combine reserved sauce with 6 tablespoons of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
Remove pork from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes.
Slice the pork.
Next add the juices from the pan to the sauce and whisk to combine. Drizzle pork with thickened sauce and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.

Teriyaki Sauce

- 2 tsp fresh ginger minced
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 8 tbsp water divided
- 2 tbsp cornstarch

Combine soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, vegetable oil, garlic, ginger and sesame oil. Reserve half of the sauce. Then pour the remaining half over the pork in resealable plastic bag.

Preheat oven to 450 F. Line baking sheet with foil, spray with non-stick cooking spray. Cook tenderloin for 17 to 20 minutes or until a thermometer reads an internal temperature of 145 F.

While the pork is cooking, combine reserved sauce with 6 tablespoons of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.

Combine 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and add to simmering sauce a little at a time. The sauce may thicken without using the full amount of cornstarch.

Remove pork from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Add the juices from the pan to the sauce and whisk to combine.
