  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • Sesame seeds
  • Green onions

Teriyaki Sauce

  • cup soy sauce
  • cup orange juice or pineapple juice
  • 6 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger minced
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 8 tbsp water divided
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, vegetable oil, garlic, ginger and sesame oil. Reserve half of the sauce. Then pour the remaining half over the pork in resealable plastic bag.
  2. Marinate pork for 30 minutes or up to 4 hours. Remove tenderloin from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  3. Preheat oven to 450 F. Line baking sheet with foil, spray with non-stick cooking spray. Cook tenderloin for 17 to 20 minutes or until a thermometer reads an internal temperature of 145 F.
  4. While the pork is cooking, combine reserved sauce with 6 tablespoons of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  5. Combine 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and add to simmering sauce a little at a time. The sauce may thicken without using the full amount of cornstarch.
  6. Remove pork from the oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Add the juices from the pan to the sauce and whisk to combine.
  7. Drizzle pork with thickened sauce and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
