I stole this recipe for Large Batch Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars from jamiecooksitup.com. These cookie bars are perfect for a crowd! Sugar is mixed with eggs and vanilla. Then the dry ingredients are added in and lightly mixed. Next chocolate chips and M&M candies are folded in. The cookie mixture is pressed into a cookie sheet and baked until golden. No scooping or baking in batches needed. After cooling the cookie tray is cut into bars, perfect for sharing!
For this recipe you will need: 1 ½ cups butter, 2 cups brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar, 2 eggs, 2 egg yolks, 4 tsp vanilla, 4 ¼ cups flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, 2 cups milk chocolate chips and 2 cups m&m candies.
Preheat oven to 325 F. Then place butter in a large glass bowl. Melt in microwave. Next add in brown sugar and white sugar and stir to combine.
Next add eggs, egg yolks and vanilla. Then whisk it all together until well combined.
In a separate bowl combine flour, salt and baking soda. Then stir the dry mixture into the sugar mixture. Don’t mix it all the way; leave a bit of the flour showing.
Next add the chocolate chips and m&m’s. Stir the chocolate in to combine.
Spray a large cookie sheet with cooking spray (12×17 tray). Then press the dough evenly into the pan.
Bake for 22-25 minutes or until the outside is slightly golden. Be sure to not over-bake. Then allow to cool for 10 minutes, slice and enjoy.
Large Batch Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are perfect for any holiday, you can change the color of the M&M candies based on the occasion or you can try some other recipes where you can change sprinkle colors like Cake Batter Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cake Mix Cookies or Cake Batter Blondies.
