Apple Fritter Breakfast Casserole

I stole this recipe for Apple Fritter Breakfast Casserole from recipeshungry.com. This breakfast casserole is a quick and easy recipe, perfect for a holiday morning. Melted butter is mixed with brown sugar and cinnamon. Then canned cinnamon rolls are quartered and tossed with the cinnamon mixture. Canned apple pie filling is added to the cinnamon roll pieces. Next the mixture is spread into a casserole dish. The casserole is baked until golden brown, then the glaze from the cinnamon roll cans is drizzled over the casserole before serving. This finished casserole tastes like an apple pie, without all the work.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 2 cans (12.4 oz) Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls, 1 can (20 oz) Apple Pie Filling, ½ cup butter, ⅓ cup brown sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon

In a large bowl combine melted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon.

Remove the cinnamon rolls from the cans and quarter them.

Then add the cinnamon roll pieces to the bowl.

Mixing well to coat the pieces. Fold in the canned apples.

Spread mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish.

Bake at 350 F for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Allow to cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with glaze from cinnamon rolls cans.
