Garlic Chicken Stir Fry

I stole this recipe for Garlic Chicken Stir Fry from allcookedup.com. This stir fry recipe is tasty take out fake out and easy enough to make for a weeknight meal. Carrots and onion sauté in a skillet for a few minutes. Then zucchini and mushrooms are added and cooked until soft. Next a sauce is made with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and brown sugar. The sauce is added to the vegetables in the skillet with cooked chicken and noodles. Everything is tossed together and stir fried for a few minutes until the sauce is heated through. The stir fry is served with sesame seeds and green onions. This recipe is so tasty you won’t need any help cleaning the plate.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 8 oz lo mein noodles, 1 lb boneless chicken breasts, 3 garlic cloves, 1 tsp ginger, 2 green onions, 1 carrot, 1 cup zucchini, 3 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp oyster sauce, 1 tbsp sesame oil, 2 tbsp vegetable oil and 1 tsp brown sugar

Slice the zucchini, mushrooms, carrots and green onions.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir fry the sliced chicken seasoned with salt and pepper until golden and cooked through (4 to 5 minutes). Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, stir fry the carrots for 2 minutes.

Then add the zucchini, mushrooms and onions.

Cooking until tender crisp for 2 to 3 minutes.

In a bowl whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and brown sugar.

Then return the chicken to the pan.

Add the cooked and drained noodles to the pan.

Pour the sauce into the pan and toss to coat everything with the sauce.

Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breasts thinly sliced

  • 1 cup zucchini sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package directions until just tender. Drain and toss with sesame oil.
  2. In a bowl whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and brown sugar.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir fry the chicken seasoned with salt and pepper until golden and cooked through (4 to 5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, stir fry the onions and carrots for 2 minutes. Add the zucchini and broccoli cooking until tender crisp for 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the pan along with the noodles. Pour in the sauce and toss everything together until well-coated and heated through, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
