Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake

I stole this recipe for Chocolate Croissant Breakfast Bake from plainchicken.com. This fancy looking breakfast is actually very easy to make. Chopped croissants are placed in a baking dish. Then chocolate chips are sprinkled on top. Next cream cheese is beaten in a bowl until smooth, then sugar, eggs, vanilla and milk are added. The cream cheese mixture is poured over the croissant pieces. After covering, the dish is refrigerated overnight. Then the casserole is baked until set. The ingredients for this recipe are: 10 oz to 13 oz package mini croissants, 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, 1 ⅓ cup sugar, 4 large eggs, 2 tsp vanilla, 2 cups milk and 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Chop the croissants into bite-size pieces.

Lightly spray a 9×13 baking pan with cooking spray. Place croissant pieces in prepared pan.

Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Beat cream cheese in a medium bowl with an electric mixer until smooth.

Then add sugar, eggs and vanilla and mix until well blended. Add milk and mix until combined.

Pour evenly over the croissant pieces.

Let stand 20 minutes or cover and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes or until set in the center.
