I stole this recipe for Crockpot Steak and Potatoes from eatingonadime.com. The slow cooker does all the work for this hearty dinner recipe. Beef steak is cut into cubes then seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Next the meat is browned in a skillet before being added to a slow cooker. Then onions and garlic are sautéed in the skillet before being added to the meat with beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Next halved baby potatoes are arranged on top of the meat mixture. Everything cooks in the slow cooker for several hours until steak is tender and the potatoes are cooked. Because the steak cooks in the slow cooker you don’t have to worry about the meat being over cooked.

The ingredients for this recipe are: 2 lbs sirloin steak, 1 tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper, ½ tsp garlic powder, ½ tsp onion powder, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 large onion, 3 cloves garlic, 1 cup beef broth, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp dried thyme and 1 ½ lbs baby potatoes

Season the steak cubes with salt, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak cubes.

Then cook until browned on all sides, about 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer the browned steak to the crockpot.

Next in the same skillet, add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 3 to 4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds, until fragrant.

Transfer the onion and garlic to the crockpot. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce into the crockpot. Add the dried thyme and stir to combine.

Then arrange the halved baby potatoes around the steak in the crockpot.

Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours until the steak is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.

Garnish with parsley, if desired.
