I stole this recipe for 3-Ingredient Teriyaki Chicken from plainchicken.com. Only three ingredients are needed in this tasty chicken recipe, this is the easiest marinade ever! Italian salad dressing and teriyaki sauce are whisked together and poured over chicken. After marinating, the chicken is grilled and ready to eat. The salad dressing and teriyaki sauce provide all the seasoning you will need. This recipe is a great way to grill one more time before the grill is put away until next year.
For this recipe you will need: ¾ cup Italian dressing, ¾ cup thick teriyaki sauce and 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts. (Bottled or homemade salad dressing can be used. I recommend Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Teriyaki sauce and marinade, it is nice and thick, perfect for this recipe.)
First, whisk together the Italian dressing and teriyaki sauce in a small bowl or liquid measuring cup. Then make sure to whisk well, to break apart the thick teriyaki sauce.
Next place the chicken in a resealable bag and then pour the mixture over the chicken and refrigerate at least 1 hour to overnight. Remove chicken from marinade and place on preheated grill. Discard the marinade.
Grill for 12 to 15 minutes until done, turning every 3 minutes. At this time use a meat thermometer to check for internal temperature of 165 F. (If desired a half batch of marinade can be made to be used as a baste while cooking.)
Remove from grill and place on serving platter and then let rest for a few minutes before serving. This recipe can easily be doubled.
