Jiffy Cornbread Waffles

These savory waffles are a perfect side dish for soups, chili or stews. Boxed cornbread mix is stirred with milk, eggs, vegetable oil and sugar. Then the batter is poured into a preheated waffle maker. Next the waffle is cooked until brown and cooked through.

Servings 6 waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 packages Jiffy Cornbread Mix
  • 1 ⅓ cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 tbsp vegetable or canola oil
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Mix the ingredients together just until mixed, don’t overmix.
  2. Fill a greased, hot waffle maker. Pour the batter in the center and spread the batter out to fill the maker.
  3. Bake according to machine instructions.
