Grilled Lemon Chicken

This delicious grilled chicken gets its lemon flavor from lemonade concentrate. A marinade is made with a mixture of lemonade concentrate, soy sauce, garlic, salt and garlic powder. Then the chicken is marinated with half of the mixture, and the other half is set aside. When the chicken is grilled it is basted with the reserved half of the marinade.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup thawed lemonade concentrate
  • cup soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • ½ tsp celery salt
  • tsp garlic powder
  • 2 fryer chicken 3 to 3 ½ lbs each cut up

Instructions

  1. In a bowl whisk together first 6 ingredients until combined. Pour half of the mixture into a container and set aside.
  2. Place chicken in a resealable bag, pour second half of sauce on chicken. Marinate in refrigerator.
  3. If using bone-in chicken grill up to 30 minutes. Grill chicken basting with reserved marinade.

Recipe Notes

If using boneless chicken grill for 10 to 20 minutes, until a thermometer reads 165 F.
