This slow cooker recipe is an easy weeknight meal or fancy enough for a weekend. Chicken is seasoned with salt, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper. Then the chicken is seared in a skillet and set aside. Chicken broth, corn starch, heavy cream, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, red pepper and paprika are whisked together in a slow cooker. Next the chicken is placed into the slow cooker and topped with sun dried tomatoes. Parmesan cheese is stirred into the sauce before serving.

Ingredients
Chicken:
4bonelessskinless chicken breasts
½tspsalt
½tspgarlic powder
½tsponion powder
¼tspblack pepper
2tbspolive oil
2tbspbutter
Sauce:
1 ½cupschicken broth
3tbspcornstarch
1cupheavy cream
4clovesgarlicminced
1 ½tspItalian seasoning
½tspsalt
½tspblack pepper
½tspred pepper flakes
½tsppaprika
⅓cupchopped sun-dried tomatoesdrained
½cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese
10fresh basil leaveschopped
Instructions
Season the chicken on both sides with the salt, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and melt the butter.
Sear the chicken breasts until golden brown, take the pan off the heat; and set aside.
Whisk together the chicken broth and cornstarch in a bowl until there are no lumps.
Add the chicken broth mixture to the bottom of an 8-quart slow cooker.
Whisk in the heavy cream, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes and paprika.
Place the seared chicken breasts into the slow cooker and pour the olive oil and butter from the pan on top.
Top each piece of chicken with the chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Place on LOW for 6 to 7 hours.
Take the chicken out of the slow cooker. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese into the sauce. Add the chicken back to the slow cooker, cover the sauce and add the basil, serve immediately.
