Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Cake

This delicious cake is a great breakfast or brunch treat! The cake batter is made with flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk, eggs and vanilla. After the batter is poured into a baking pan a mixture of butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and chopped nuts is swirled into the batter. The cake is baked in an oven while a glaze is made. Drizzling the glaze on top of the warm cake finishes this tasty cinnamon treat.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 tbsp butter melted
  • 2 sticks butter 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • cup nuts chopped

Glaze

  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 4-5 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. With an electric mixer combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, milk, eggs and vanilla. Once combined, slowly stir in the melted butter. Pour into a greased 9x13 baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Drop evenly over the cake batter in pan. Use a knife to marble and swirl over cake.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean from center.
  4. Make glaze by adding the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla in a bowl. Whisk until smooth and drizzle over warm cake. Serve warm or at room temperature.
