Buttery Breadsticks

Frozen bread dough makes these breadsticks foolproof! The dough is thawed and rolled into ropes. Melted butter and Parmesan cheese are brushed on the dough ropes. Then the dough is left to rise before baking. This recipe is a tasty and easy way to make breadsticks at home.

Servings 18 breadsticks

Ingredients

  • 18 Rhodes yeast dinner rolls thawed but still cold
  • ½ cup butter melted
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Roll each roll into 6 inch rope. Place butter and cheese in shallow bowls. Dip each rope into butter and then into Parmesan cheese.

  2. Place breadsticks on an 11x17 inch sprayed baking sheet in 2 rows of nine each. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Cover with plastic wrap.
  3. Let rise until double in size. Remove wrap and bake at 350 F for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Recipe Notes

I melt the butter, brush it on the dough. Then sprinkle the Parmesan cheese and garlic salt on top.
