Appetizer Shrimp Kabobs

This tasty appetizer can also be served as a main dish. First garlic sits in olive oil. Then the coating mixture is made with breadcrumbs and seafood seasoning. Shrimp is dipped in the garlic olive oil and then coated with the seasoned breadcrumbs. The coated shrimp are placed on skewers and grilled. Seafood sauce is served with the finished shrimp.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves crushed
  • ½ cup dry bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp seafood seasoning
  • 32 uncooked medium shrimp 1 lb peeled and deveined
  • Seafood cocktail sauce

Instructions

  1. Soak wooden skewers if using.
  2. In a shallow bowl, mix oil and garlic; let stand for 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix bread crumbs and seafood seasoning. Dip shrimp in oil mixture, then coat with crumb mixture.
  4. Thread onto skewers. Grill kabobs, covered, over medium heat 2-3 minutes or until shrimp turns pink. Serve with seafood sauce.

Recipe Notes

Use 4 shrimp per skewer, piece top and side of curve of tail for each piece.
