Parmesan Pastina

Parmesan Pastina is a fancy name for buttered noodles with Parmesan cheese. Noodles are cooked in salted water, and then drained. The pasta is then tossed with butter, Parmesan cheese and parsley. Salt and pepper are added to taste. This is a quick and easy pasta side dish that can be added to any meal. Using small noodles like ditalini or other short pasta are best for this recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb dry ditalini pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook ditalini in boiling salted water.
  2. Drain and toss with butter, Parmesan and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
