This easy to make pasta side dish is a fancy version of macaroni and cheese. The cheese sauce starts with butter and flour in a saucepan. Then milk and pepper are added and cooked until thickened. Next three types of cheese are added: shredded white cheddar, provolone and Parmesan cheese. Once all the cheeses are melted, then cooked pasta shells are stirred into the sauce.

3 ½cupsuncooked medium pasta shells
¼cupbuttercubed
¼cupAP flour
2 ½cupsmilk
¼tsppepper
2cupsshredded white cheddar cheese or mozzarella
4sliceswhite American cheesechopped (or provolone)
¼cupgrated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat; whisk in flour until smooth. Whisk in the milk and pepper.
Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in cheeses until melted; stir in pasta.
