Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 F.
Place the strawberries into a large bowl. Add in the sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Mix well until the strawberries are thoroughly coated.
Pour the strawberry mixture into a butter 2-quart baking dish. Top with 2 tablespoons of butter.
Combine the flour, baking powder, cornstarch, sugar and salt in a bowl. Stir in 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the milk. Mix until a soft dough forms. Spoon the mixture over the berries.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the top is golden brown.
