Instant Pot Cheesy Penne Pasta

This delicious pasta comes together quickly in a pressure cooker. The first step for this recipe is to add chicken broth, minced garlic, salt, pepper and uncooked penne pasta. Then the pressure cooker cooks for five minutes. Once the pressure is released, then a can of evaporated milk and marinara sauce are stirred into the pot. Next Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese are mixed in until the cheese melts.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and pepper
  • 16 oz penne pasta uncooked
  • 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella sauce
  • Basil and shredded Parmesan for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pour chicken broth, garlic, salt, pepper and pasta into Instant Pot. Secure the lid. Cook on MANUAL for 5 minutes.
  2. Let the pot release for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the lid and pour in evaporated milk and marinara sauce. Stir the sauce into the pasta so that all the pasta is covered evenly.
  4. Add in Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese and stir until the cheese is melted.
  5. Serve immediately and top with basil and Parmesan cheese.
