Honey Garlic Pork Chops

The delicious marinade is best part of these pork chops. Honey, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, chili sauce and oregano are mixed together in a bowl. A small amount of marinade is reserved for basting while grilling. Then the pork chops marinade before grilling. This is a tasty and quick cooking recipe, perfect for summer grilling.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • ½ tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • 4 (4 oz) bone-in pork chops, fat trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Parsley garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl combine, honey, garlic, soy sauce, ketchup, chili sauce and oregano; mix until thoroughly combined.
  2. Place pork chops in a bowl. Pour sauce over. Refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Thaw on counter 10 minutes before cooking.
  3. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  4. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sauce; sear both sides until browned, 2 minutes per side.
  5. Remove from heat, add butter and place in oven.
  6. Cook 15-18 minutes or until reaches 160 F.
  7. Transfer to serving plate. Spoon the sauce over chops.

Grill:

  1. Reserve 2 tbsp of the sauce prior to marinating.
  2. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat (450 F).
  3. Close grill, cook 5 minutes on one side. Flip chops, baste and cover grill, cook for 5 minutes more.

Boneless pork chops can be used as well.
