Crock Pot Italian Chicken Pasta

This crock pot recipe is easy to make for a weeknight or Sunday dinner. Chicken is placed in a slow cooker with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian dressing mix and Italian seasoning. Then jarred marinara and Alfredo sauces are poured over the chicken. The chicken cooks for several hours before being shredded. Next the chicken is returned to the slow cooker with cooked pasta and shredded mozzarella cheese. Everything is stirred together until the cheese is melted.

Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 packet Good Seasonings Italian Dressing Mix
  • 24 oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 15 oz jar Alfredo sauce
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in a slow cooker. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian dressing mix and Italian seasoning. Pour marinara sauce and Alfredo sauce over chicken.
  2. Cook on LOW until chicken is cooked, 4 to 6 hours.
  3. Cook pasta according to directions, drain.
  4. Remove chicken and shred. Return shredded chicken to slow cooker with pasta.
  5. Stir everything together, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Cover with lid and cook until cheese is melted, about 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with basil and Parmesan cheese.
