Chicken Parmesan

This delicious recipe tastes just like a recipe dish. Flatten chicken is dredged in flour. Then dipped in beaten eggs and then coated with breadcrumbs. Next the breaded chicken browned in a skillet. Once browned the chicken is placed in a baking dish, topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese. Then the chicken is baked in the oven to finish cooking and melt the cheese.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs or breasts bone removed, flattened
  • ½ cup AP flour
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 ½ cups marinara sauce
  • ¾ cup mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Bread the chicken using 3 separate bowls for flour, beaten eggs and panko/parmesan.
  3. Preheat oil in a large deep skillet on medium, gently add breaded chicken. Cook for 3 minutes each side, remove excess oil place on paper towels.
  4. In a 9” oven proof dish, layer chicken then sauce, then cheese. Cook for 15 minutes.
