Praline Crunch

This tasty snack is perfect for any holiday party! Brown sugar, corn syrup and butter are cooked in a saucepan. Then vanilla and baking soda is mixed in before pouring over Crispix cereal and pecans. Next, the cereal mixture is spread onto a parchment lined baking sheet and baked for 1 hour. After baking, the mixture is poured onto wax paper to cool, and then broken in pieces.

Ingredients

  • 8 cups Crispix cereal
  • 2 cups pecan halves
  • ½ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup corn syrup
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cereal and pecans.
  3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup and butter. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pour over cereal mixture, tossing evenly to coat.
  4. Pour cereal mixture into 9x13 pan. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  5. Pour onto wax paper to cool. Break into pieces
