Funfetti Cake Mix Cookie Bars

These delicious cookie bars are easy to make and a pretty dessert. Funfetti cake mix is combined with butter, eggs, vanilla and sprinkles. Then the batter is spread into a baking pan. After baking and cooling, canned frosting is spread on top. Next additional sprinkles are sprinkled on top before cutting into bars.

Ingredients

1 box funfetti cake mix
½ cup butter unsalted softened
2 large eggs room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup rainbow sprinkles plus more for topping
1 tub vanilla frosting

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish or line with parchment paper, set aside.
In a large bowl mix together the cake mix, butter, eggs, vanilla and sprinkles until combined. Be sure not to over mix.
Transfer batter to prepared baking dish and bake for 13 to 16 minutes. Each oven is different, so keep an eye to not overbake. Bars should be soft when taken out of the oven. Let the bars cool.
Once cooled, spread bars with frosting, about half of a can. Top with sprinkles, cut into squares and enjoy.
